But today, we're diving into a different kind of musical story one that revolves around a girl with a name as bright as a passion for music- Eva Brighty, the frontwoman of “Eva and the Band.” Gather around music enthusiasts, this one’s for you!
Eva is not your average singer. She's a vibrant songwriter who pours her heart and soul into every melody she crafts. But, of course, no band is complete without its companions. Meet the talented bandmates: James Butterfield, Cosmo Fulham, and Sam Gascoigne. Together, they are making waves in the music world, by delivering electrifying performances and leaving audiences in awe.
Eva and the Band have an extensive gig history. They have rocked the stage at numerous venues, and just recently, they graced Halloween night with their captivating tunes at ‘Freddie’s’ which is a student Bar! And before that not long before played at ‘Dingwall’s Camden’ with some other talented artists on the line-up as well. But that's not all they're up to. Right now, they are in the midst of an exciting journey, about to release an EP. For those of you who don't know, an “EP” stands for an extended play, and it's a musical gem that's longer than a single but shorter than a full album. It is a little taste of their music, just enough to leave you wanting more.
Eva herself has a diverse background in the arts, studying Musical Theatre. While being the melody-weaver of the group, Cosmo has a Knack for music technology, and James and Sam shine in performance and recording. It’s a perfect blend of talents, each member contributing a unique aspect to the band’s sound.
Their journey began when Eva submitted her work to Noise London Records and met the other members of her band. Cosmo, their newest bass player is here to add a fresh dimension to their music. It all started with a simple song submission to the record label for Eva and it has just been a success since then.
Their first gig as a band took place about a year ago, and Eva reflects on how far they have come since then. “When I look back at videos from that gig, I can’t believe how much both I and the band have changed,” she says. “It’s a really great feeling to witness our growth.”
Their aspiration? Is to take their music to new heights, playing shows wherever they can, and recording their EP. And, of course, they’re on the lookout for kindred spirits who share their love for music. Their recent gigs have been the most memorable for Eva, as she’s found her comfort zone on stage. “I’m able to really enjoy my time.” She exclaims.
Eva’s song writing process kicks off with her trusty acoustic guitar, where she gives life to her original creations. It’s a soulful journey that’s then shared with her bandmates, who add their magic to breathe even more life into the melodies. And, yes, they love to pay tribute to their musical heroes by weaving in some inspired covers.
What truly sets Eva, and the Band apart is their extraordinary friendship. They are not just a band but a tight-knit family. Being around each other is an absolute delight, and their camaraderie shines through in every note they play. It’s not just about the music, it is about sharing unforgettable moments and creating memories together.
